NMS was established in 2012 by Nick Slade, who is the Founder and Principal Mining Engineer.

Nick is a mining professional with over 30 years management and technical experience in operating, due diligence, consulting and project development roles. 

Nick's career has been for companies, projects and operations around the world, including senior technical and leadership roles in Manara Minerals Investment Company, Ecora Royalties PLC (formerly Anglo Pacific Group), Pala Investments, Trafigura, Glencore (formerly Xstrata and Mount Isa Mines) and Golder Associates, as well as Non-Executive Director (NED) of Atlantic Tin Ltd and a NED of Camborne School of Mines Association (Alumni body). Nick also holds a Queensland (Australia) First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency for Underground Metalliferous Mines.

Nick has significant experience in base and precious metals mining, having successfully managed 6Mtpa underground operation, leading roles in due diligence for equity and offtake interests, investment portfolio oversight and project management/technical leadership of mining projects. 

NMS specializes in providing underground and open pit mining services across a range of disciplines in a holistic manner considering practical, technical, economic and management perspectives.
